Purpose Rwanda is a nonprofit organization (No. 151/RGB/NGO/LP/10/2017) whose mission is to build Purposeful, Positive and Addiction Free Generation towards Self-Sustainability and Socio-Economic Transformation among the citizenry.

 

In order to fulfill its mission, Purpose Rwanda seeks to recruit self-motivated candidates who are passionate about personal growth and socio-economic transformation of their society.

 

The volunteers needed will serve in the following capacities:

 

  1. Purpose Development Strategist: (1)
  2. Strategic Partnership and Finance Officer: (1)
  3. Human Resource and Public Relations Officer (1)

 

 

Job Summary:

  1. Purpose Development Strategist: (1)

Working under the supervision of the Director of Purpose Development Department, the Purpose Development strategist will perform a variety of tasks, which include;

  • Plan the start of Purpose Development and support Hub
  • Developing purposes among people and supporting the outstanding ones
  • Presentations of the best purposes
  • Funding outstanding purposes
  • Coordinating Purpose groups/partnerships
  • Connecting best purposes to rightful partners/funders/sponsors
  • Prepare training in the discovery of purposes
  • Deployment of outstanding and ready purposes to stir society development
  • Reporting work operations and other duties to the Director of programs
  • Perform any other task assigned to him/her by Director of programs

Minimum Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Public Admin, Social Sciences, Public Relations, Business Studies (specialization in Project Planning and Management, Finance and Accounting, Strategic Management will be added advantage) or any other related field with a passion for social transformation.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda, knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Very good soft skills
  • Computer literacy

 

 

 

 

  1. Strategic Partnership and Finance Officer: (1)

Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, Strategic Partnership and Finance Officer will perform a variety of services which include but not limited to:

  • To raise funding for Purpose Rwanda
  • To identify and closely work with partners that resonate with Purpose Rwanda mission
  • Drafting MoUs
  • Develop proposals/Working on projects that can raise funds
  • Soliciting for cash to support PR activities, be it cash or in-kind support
  • Seeking for appointments with relevant organizations and present them the project proposals and areas of cooperation
  • Sign up and subscribe to funding entities/websites etc
  • Organizing fundraising events to raise funding
  • Follow up on membership and subscription fees
  • Ensuring of Financial Statements and drafting of finance procedure manual
  • Approves PR payments, purchase authorization and other financial transactions to ensure compliance with staff rules, financial rules and implementing instruments/authority.
  • In close coordination with Field/Sub-Offices, program section maintains a system to monitor and forecast cash requirements to meet administrative and project expenditures
  • Establishes monthly cash requirements for the office and requests timely replenishment from PR’s Executive Director
  • Constantly reviews banking arrangements to ensure timely transfer of funds and minimize exchange loses and bank charges

Minimum Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Public Admin, Social Sciences, Public Relations, Business Studies, or any other related field with a passion for social transformation.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills
  • Professional attitude, capable of multi-tasking
  • Fluent in spoken and written Kinyarwanda and English, knowledge of French is an added advantage
  1.  Human Resource and Public Relations Officer  (1)

Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Human Resource and Public Relations Officer will perform a variety of services which include but not limited to:

  • In close coordination with Field/Sub-Offices, program section maintains a system to monitor and forecast cash requirements to meet administrative and project expenditures
  • Establishes monthly cash requirements for the office and requests timely replenishment from PR’s Executive Director.
  • Processing accurate information that will support the management team: Maintaining an updated database with all the information about current employees of Purpose Rwanda
  • Assisting with the recruitment process.
  • Executing all Human Resource related tasks
  • Engage PR audience through active and updated PR social media platforms e.g Face book, twitter, website, YouTube, etc. To always release a minimum of five articles per week on all PR social networks regarding Purpose Development, Positive and Addiction Free-living (The article has to be reviewed and approved by the editorial team before it is published)
  • Publication of purposes (on PR social media platforms and in any established newspaper)
  • Follow up and report the implementation of Action Plans and any assigned tasks
  • Engage the Media and the Public on behalf of Purpose Rwanda
  • Take minutes and follow up on the implementation of the Action areas agreed upon in the meeting
  • Coordinating and organizing Purpose Rwanda events

Minimum Qualifications

First or second degree or Diploma in Business related courses, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or any other related field with a  passion for personal growth and social transformation.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills
  • Sufficient knowledge of computer and related software
  • Professional attitude, capable of multi-tasking
  • Fluent in spoken and written Kinyarwanda and English, knowledge of French is an added advantage
