Purpose Rwanda is a nonprofit organization (No 151/RGB/NGO/LP/10/2017) whose mission is to build Purposeful, Positive and Addiction free generation towards self–sustainability and socioeconomic transformation among the citizenry.
In order to fulfil its mission, Purpose Rwanda seeks to recruit self–motivated and candidates who are passionate about socioeconomic transformation of their society.
The volunteers needed will serve in the following capacities.

  • 1. TV Presenter/Producer: 1
  • 2. Occupational Therapist: 1
  • 3. Administrative and Public Relations officer: 1

Job summary:
1. TV Presenter/Producer: 1
Working under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Projects, the Purpose Rwanda TV Presenter/Producer will perform a variety of tasks, which include;

  • · Produce above two weekly Purpose Rwanda programs to air on TV
  • · Facilitating the shooting of programs
  • · Alongside editors, edit the shot clips and scripts to be aired
  • · Present live talk shows on TV
  • · Drawing up and presenting the shooting schedules
  • · Advise the Director of Programs the new trends that may be different from Purpose Rwanda editorial line but resourceful
  • · Strictly within the legal frame works and editorial line of Purpose Rwanda
  • · Execute any other tasks that may be assigned to her/himMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Degree or Diploma in journalism, communication, public relations or in any field with two years of working experience in the TV industry and with a burning desire to see a transformed society.
    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Ø Excellent communication and presentation skills;
    • Ø Fluent in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda, knowledge of French is an added advantage.

    • 2. Occupational Therapist: 1

    Working under the supervision of the Director of Positive and Addiction Free living Dept, the Occupational therapist will perform a variety of services which include but not limited to;

    • · To ensure that Rehabilitation and rediscovery services are in place towards fighting Addictions
    • · To identify common causes of addictions and forge a solution to prevent them
    • · To ensure the administrating of therapy to the addicted
    • · To offer counseling services to the addicted, broken, confused and the tired
    • · To develop Positive and Addiction free living assessment needs for the department (Purpose of the dept, tools needed, target group, impact, budget, reporting mechanism)
    • · To develop a procedure manual /standards for Positive and Addiction free living department
    • · To develop a curriculum for Positive and Addiction Free living department
    • · Operate within Purpose Rwanda legal and administrative frameworks
    • · To do any related task that may be required and assigned to her/him from time to time.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Degree or Diploma in Occupational therapy, counselling, mental and health studies, theology, psychology or any other related field with more than two years of working experience in a psychosocial environment especially with addicts.
    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Ø Excellent communication, organisation and coordination skills

    • Ø Professional attitude, patience, and cool temperament
    • Ø Capable of multi–tasking
    • Ø Fluent in spoken and written Kinyarwanda and English, knowledge of French is an added advantage
    • 3. Administrative and Public Relations Officer

    Working under the Executive Director, the Administrative and Public Relations officer will execute various tasks including but not limited to;

    • · Engage PR audience through active and updated PR social media platforms e.g Facebook, twitter, website, YouTube, etc. To always release a minimum of two articles per week on all PR social networks regarding Purpose Development, Positive and Addiction Free living (The article has to be reviewed and approved by the editorial team before its published)
    • · Together with the IT and multimedia team, to produce quarterly newsletters
    • · Publication of purposes (on PR social media platforms and in any established newspaper)
    • · Follow up and report the implementation of Action Plans and any assigned tasks
    • · Engage the Media and the Public on behalf of Purpose Rwanda
    • · Take minutes and follow up the implementation of the Action areas agreed upon in the meeting
    • · Facilitate the staff with a conducive working environment
    • · Responding to emails and calls
    • · Write outgoing letters to be signed off by the Executive Director
    • · Assist in HR responsibilities when required
    • · Coordinate the general operations of the organization
    • · Working closely with all departments to collectively implement Purpose Rwanda’s mission
    • · Execute any task assigned to her/himMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      Degree or Diploma in Mass communication or a degree in any field but with solid skills and knowledge in multi/social media usage
      KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

      • Ø Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda. Knowledge of French is an added advantage
      • Ø Excellent communication, organisation and coordination skills
      • Ø Professional attitude, capable of multi–tasking
